so lisa and i are standing around in the kitchen yesterday, preparing for our roommate sunday funday of mani-pedi red bag buying gloriousness when we decide to take out the trash. Actually, I was standing around eating and lisa was putting the recycling together and emptying the trash. My dark chocolate cherry kashi granola bar was very yummy.
In the midst of sorting the recycling Lisa says to me, you need to stop drinking so much beer b/c i hate taking out all your bottles.
And I responded immediately with a very excellent point.. It's not my fault b/c if they sold beer in 2 liter bottles like soda i would just buy those.
Let me reiterate: it is not my fault beer companies hate the environment. And don't give me shit about 40s b/c even if I am from the South I have standards. I don't want your Smirnoff ice 40. Gross. And i dont need a keg, I'm not an alcoholic or an idiot frat boy.
I usually buy 6 packs b/c i like variety, I like good beer and I'm not trying to carry a case with my groceries up 4 flights of stairs. My legs hurt a little just thinking about all that effort, even if it is for beer. But there really has to be a better way then glass bottles. Thinking about it now it just seems stupid, why not 2 liters? seriously. Mark said something about them being plastic instead of glass, but I dont think that really matters, they make coors light that comes in plastic bottles. Terrible argument, next.
All the possibilities just keeping flowing to me... parties? filling them up with water with highlighters in them? bongs? endless, endless possibilities.
I'm starting a petition. Help me help beer companies save the environment.
